shabbon666: Wednesday 13May 16, 2013Harpo’s @ Detroit I am not a fan of this venue. At all. I had been to see Coal Chamber here 13 years ago. The stage is 6 feet tall, your neck hurts from looking up, the neighborhood is one I’d avoid once the sun went down if I was driving. If I were not in a car, I wouldn’t even venture in the neighborhood. The type of venue that has to hire security for the parking lot during the show. I was relieved to see my car A) in the spot where I’d left it and B) just the way I’d left it. Needless to say, when my daughter would bring concerts to my attention and then say, “they’re at Harpo’s” that just made it an automatic “no”. However, I have said in the last year or two that I would only go to Harpo’s for ONE person and that was Wednesday 13. That being said, the show was spectacular and I wish W13 came around my neck of the woods more often, because sadly, this was my first show.
